Police: Man stopped with heroin, cocaine
Oneonta police arrested an Oneonta man on drug charges after a traffic stop.
Jason T. Sanders, 34, was charged Thursday with third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a felony, and seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a misdemeanor, police said.
Sanders allegedly possessed 13 bags of heroin with a street value of $260 and a bag of cocaine worth about $100, Lt. Douglas Brenner said.
Sanders was a passenger in a car driven by Connie Zachow, 25, of Walton, Brenner said.
Officer Christopher Catapano pulled Zachow over at about 12:15 a.m. Thursday originally for insufficient taillights, Brenner said, and Zachow was charged with second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, a misdemeanor, and operating with suspended registration.
Officer Charles Whitmore and Sgt. Branden Collison provided back up, Brenner said.
