---- — The fifth annual Spc. Shaine Lymn Memorial Ride for Charity will be held Saturday, with riders leaving from Morris Central School.
Lymn, a 2006 graduate of Morris Central School, died at age 20 of a medical condition that affected his heart. He joined the National Guard in 2005.
The event will begin with registration at 10 a.m., with the ride to set off at 11. The cost of $11 per person includes lunch. Door prizes and raffles will follow the 100-mile ride, which will travel through Otsego and Chenango counties and conclude at Gilligans in Sherburne at about 2 p.m.
Proceeds will go toward the Patriot Riders “Help on the Homefront” program, which offers support and outreach to veterans, families of deployed service members, and Gold Star families.
