Candidates make deal to resolve primary tie|

The final count in the Republican Primary for the Delhi Town Council resulted in a tie between Jim Bracci and Kevin Lee with 147 votes for each, according to the Delaware County Board of Elections.  Both will appear on the ballot as independents, Democratic Deputy Commissioner Paula Schermerhorn said Tuesday.

Delhi supervisor and town council member Pete Bracci, who lost the party line in the primary but will be running as an independent, said the top two council vote getters agreed to the solution to the tie.

The only person running as a Republican for the position is Thomas Little, who came in third in the primary, Schermerhorn said. Along with Bracci and Lee, Democratic candidate Matthew Kryston will also appear on the independent line, she said.
