Time Warner changes channel numbers

Time Warner Cable customers in the area may notice that some channels have moved around.

According to a media release from the cable company, Tuesday marked the debut of a new digital channel lineup for customers in the Binghamton market, which includes Bainbridge, Delhi, Walton, Jefferson, Summit, New Berlin, Norwich, Oneonta, Cooperstown, Oxford and Sidney.

The new lineup groups channels above 99 together thematically in subject categories such as Entertainment, Kids & Teens, News & Info, Sports and Music. On Demand content begins at channel 1000. HD feeds and parental control and DVR settings will transition automatically without having to be reprogrammed.

The lineup change does not affect which channels are included in customers’ individual packages. More information is available at twc.com/mychannels.
