Brian Beckford had 14 points and 11 rebounds, but Oneonta State's men fell, 62-55, at unbeaten New York University on Tuesday in a non-conference basketball game.
Of the Red Dragons' 56 shots from the field, 27 came from three-point range. O-State made six from beyond the arc.
Michael Grimes contributed 10 points for O-State (8-4). NYU (9-0) received 18 points from Keith Jensen and 16 from John Mish.

E8 recognizes Hartwick duo
Senior men's basketball player Jan Cocozziello and sophomore women's basketball player Fritzi Flores were named co-Empire 8 Conference players of the week.
Cocozziello, also named the co-ECAC Upstate player of the week, scored 24 points in back-to-back games this past weekend, shooting 69 percent from the field in the process.
In an 80-65 victory at Nazareth on Saturday, Cocozziello went 9-for-10 from the field.
He also had 10 rebounds, eight assists and three steals in the two games.
Cocozziello is fourth on Hartwick's all-time scoring list with 1,556 points, trailing Tim O'Brien (1,799), Joe Britten (1,802) and Tim McGraw (1,878).
Hartwick (7-3) had its non-league game against visiting Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts postponed Tuesday. The school announced the game will be made up at a later date.
Flores scored a college-high 20 points in Hartwick's 80-70 victory over St. John Fisher on Friday, when the Hawks snapped a seven-game skid against the Cardinals. Flores also hit three three-pointers, and had three assists and four steals.
For the season, Flores leads Hartwick with 19 steals and is second on the team in scoring at 8.1 points per game.
Hartwick (5-4) plays host to Alfred University at 6 p.m. Friday.
