May 16, 2008 04:00 am Brittanie Becraft and Susanna Johnson had RBI singles during a three-run fifth inning that gave Edmeston the lead for good in its 15-14 Tri-Valley League softball victory at Cherry Valley-Springfield on Thursday. The Panthers trailed, 13-12, heading into the fifth. Michelle Natali's RBI double in the fifth pulled CV-S to 15-14. Winning pitcher Megan Lawrence and counterpart Marnieta Nelson retired the side in order in the sixth and seventh innings. Lawrence, who had 11 strikeouts, seven walks and hit four batters, struck out the side in the seventh. Jennifer Norton went 4-for-4 with two doubles, a triple and two RBIs for the Panthers. Johnson and Ashley Harbison each contributed three hits. Savannah Crowley and Ashley Jacoby had two hits apiece for the Patriots (6-10), who host Cooperstown on Saturday.
