September 30, 2008 04:00 am Miranda DeSanctis converted a 35-yard shot with 4 minutes, 15 seconds left in the first overtime to give Seton Catholic Central a 1-0 Southern Tier Athletic Conference girls soccer victory at Oneonta High on Monday night. "It was a good shot, but normally we're in position to not allow that shot," said OHS Jerry Mackey, who added the play started after the Yellowjackets failed to win a 50-50 ball at midfield. DeSanctis' high shot went over OHS goalie Breelin Shea. OHS held an 11-6 advantage in shots and took three more corner kicks than the Saints. "Monica (Jones) served some tremendous corner kicks that we should have finished," Mackey said of his team's 10 corner kicks. "We're disappointed because we felt we had the better of play, but all that matters is the 1-0 score." Jones and Chacha Naito had shots carom off the cross bar, and Sienna Wisse hit a post for the Jackets, who have lost two of their last three games.
