Led by the highest-scoring players in The Daily Star's circulation area, the girls from Edmeston and Davenport each improved to 14-0 on the season after earning 6-2 soccer victories Friday.
Edmeston, behind three goals from junior Kori Hamm, won at Tri-Valley League host Gilbertsville-Mount Upton and host Davenport received two goals and two assists to defeat Oxford in a non-league game.
Hamm has an area-best 33 goals _ 17 behind the single-season Section Four record set by Stamford graduate and current Oneonta State women's soccer coach Liz McGrail. Panthers coach Melanie Mumbulo said she believes her team clinched the West Division title with the victory. Edmeston is 9-0 in conference with three league games left. Second-place Franklin has three losses and a tie in division.
Haight, a senior, has 23 goals.

The defending Tri-Valley League and Section Four Class D champion Panthers also received two goals and one assist from Emily Slentz, two assists from Emily Bliss and a goal from Tonya Brownell in taking a 6-0 lead at halftime.
Edmeston plays host to Franklin on Monday.
Calli Hill and Blake Stensland scored in the second half for the Raiders, who became the first team Edmeston has allowed more than one goal to this season.

Amanda Toombs and Jackie Gilley each had a goal and an assist, and Rachel Halstead also scored for Davenport, which plays host to South Kortright at 4 p.m. Saturday in the final of the Chic Walshe Tournament.

Monica Jones scored eight minutes into play for the visiting Yellowjackets, who fell to Maine-Endwell for the second time this season in the Southern Tier Athletic Conference.
Jones' goal came off a restart just outside the 18-yard penalty box.
"Chacha (Naito) (faked kicking) it and Monica hit a great strike," OHS coach Jerry Mackey said of the goal that gave OHS a 1-0 lead.
Spartans standout Jamie Holliday tied the score in the 21st minute off an assist from Kegan Griffith. Kaitlyn Cook scored on breakaway five minutes later to make it 2-1.
"There wasn't a ton of action on the end lines or box," Mackey said. "It was played a lot from 18 to 18. Usually, teams like ours generate more corner kicks, but it was played more in the middle of the field."
OHS (9-5, 8-4) has one regular-season game remaining before starting play in the Section Four Class B tournament Oct. 23. The Yellowjackets play at Owego on Oct. 15.
"We're going to try and get everybody healthy and fit and playing well and confident," Mackey said. "Then, we'll see what happens for the bracket."

Cassie Gearhart finished a direct kick by Jessica Freer 7:49 into the first overtime to give host Stamford a victory in the Delaware League.
Freer was 35 yards out on the left side and Windham keeper Shayna Rion came out, but the ball got past her and Gearhart finished into an empty net.
The second of Jackie Maisonave's goals came 3:41 into the second half and tied the score at 2 for Windham.

Katie Clayton lofted a shot from the left wing to the far post two minutes into the first overtime, giving Jefferson a Delaware League road victory.
"It was just a well played game," said Hunter-Tannersville coach Julia France, whose team outshot Jefferson, 21-13. "We dominated the first part and they dominated the first overtime."
Kirsten Davis' goal with 33 minutes left in the second half tied the score for the Wildcats (9-4, 6-3), who play at Andes on Thursday.

Donald Jennings scored two minutes into the second half and Paul Stein scored eight minutes later to give host Downsville a 3-1 lead in its Delaware League victory.
Jennings' goal came off a throughball from Dustin Keesler that set up a breakaway. Keesler then crossed a ball that Stein headed in from 6 yards.
Keesler also scored twice, giving him a team-leading 13 goals.
"Dustin has really stepped up this year," said Downsville coach Scott Reed, whose team has won four straight. "He's our leader and when he brings up his game, the rest of them come with him."
Ethan Berghammer scored in the first half for Andes.
