October 09, 2008 04:00 am SUNY Delhi cross country runner Chris Mason set a course record in the 11th annual Bronco Weekday 5K Classic at the Delhi College Golf Course on Wednesday. Mason crossed in 16 minutes, 9.5 seconds for the Broncos, breaking the previous record of 16:12.2, set by SUNY Delhi graduate Justin Wood in 2003. Wood, a Walton graduate, is in his first year as the women's cross country and men's and women's track coach at SUNY Delhi. Nick Pampena finished second in 16:33 for Oneonta State, which won the team title with 25 points. Delhi finished second with 37 points. On the women's side, SUNY Delhi graduate Jestina Dawson won in 20:59. Celia Alterio placed second in 21:21 to lead O-State, which won the team title with 22 points _ 41 better than runner-up Broome. Danielle Metz finished 10th in 22:47 to lead the Broncos, who finished third with 66 points. Unatego graduate Tosh DeMulder ran for 110 yards, marking the first time in 18 games that Fisher allowed 100 or more yards to an opposing running back.
