Delhi 90, A/B/H/O 36

Chandler Shepard set a Delhi record in the 100-yard freestyle, winning in 55.45 seconds to lead the host Bulldogs to a Midstate Athletic Conference win over Afton/B-G/Harpursville/Oxford on Friday.

Shepard also placed first in the 50 free (25.7) and anchored the winning relays in the 200 medley (2:08.52) and 200 free (1:54.57) for the 9-0 Bulldogs.

Delhi next competes in the Oct. 24 MAC Championships at Greene.

Steph Havens won the 100-yard butterfly (1:16.48) and contributed to two victories in a relay sweep for host Oneonta High (1-1-5, 1-1-5), which earned a Southern Tier Athletic Conference tie.

Leah Willis (100 free, 1:01.49) and Melinda Wagner (100 backstroke, 1:07.3) also won for the Yellowjackets, who are at Whitney Point on Tuesday.

Cassidy Griger won the 200-yard individual medley (2:37.99) and the 500 freestyle (6:13.72) for Cooperstown in a non-league loss at home.

Olivia Morris won the 200 free (2:29.13) and the 100 free (1:07.76) for the Redskins (3-6), who'll compete in the Midstate Athletic Conference Championships on Oct. 24 at Greene.
