The College Swimming Coaches Association of America has recognized the Oneonta State women’s swimming and diving team as a Scholar All-America Team for the 2013 spring semester of 2013.
The Red Dragons earned their fifth such honor in program history, with their first coming in the fall of 2009. The team also earned Scholar All-America recognition for the fourth straight semester.
O-State’s women completed a 2-3 dual-meet season during the 2012-13 academic year and finished fifth at the SUNY Athletic Conference Championships with a program-record 353 points.
Oneonta was one of 138 Division III women’s programs honored and one of seven teams from the SUNYAC recognized for the spring semester. The Red Dragons had a cumulative grade point average of 3.16 for the spring semester.
The CSCAA selects Scholar All-America Teams after each semester. To earn the award, teams must have earned a minimum 3.0 GPA for a given semester.
