OHS grad helps SUNYIT men top Cobleskill

Staff Report

Oneonta High graduate Matt Arcidiacono assisted on the opening goal Thursday for the SUNYIT men’s soccer team, which earned a 2-0 men’s soccer victory at SUNY Cobleskill in the North Eastern Athletic Conference.

Sophomore midfielder Arcidiacono sent a cross to Luke Bogar, whose header gave the Wildcats a 1-0 lead in the 14th minute.

Josh Kimbler scored an unassisted goal in the 53rd minute for SUNYIT (7-7, 4-3), which received one save from Malick Faye for the shutout.

Cobleskill starting goalie Tucker Lewis made six saves in the first half before Mack Curran (Cooperstown) took over. He stopped five shots in the second half for the Fighting Tigers (3-10-1, 2-6), who visit Skidmore for a non-leaguer Saturday.
