Taylor Davis scored in the 35th minute to lead visiting Unadilla Valley to a Midstate Athletic Conference victory.

Jordan Anderson made six saves in the shutout for the Storm, who won despite getting outshot, 12-7.

Katie Pardee also had six saves for Delhi (5-7-1, 3-2).

FIELD HOCKEY

Afton 1, Walton 0

Cassidy Phillips scored on a penalty corner one minute into play and Afton held on for a Section Four victory on the road.

Phillips converted a pass from Sierra Palmatier for the Crimson Knights, who received five saves from Victoria Lent.

Katrina Kilmer stopped nine shots for the Warriors (7-6, 4-5), who visit Sidney today.

GOLF

at Stamford GC

Eric Mathiesen’s 11-over-par 45 on the Stamford Golf Course’s flat nine led visiting Margaretville to a 185-234 Delaware League victory over Gilboa.

Both teams will compete in the Delaware League Championships at 9 a.m. Tuesday at the Delhi College Golf Course.

VOLLEYBALL

Oneonta 3, JC 0

Krissy Wells amassed 31 assists and Brittney Herrick finished with nine kills as Oneonta rolled to a 25-21, 25-22, 25-12 home victory in the Southern Tier Athletic Conference.

Kelsey Baker contributed eight kills and two blocks for the Yellowjackets (10-2), who will compete in the Queensbury Tournament on Saturday.

Grace Hopkins had 14 digs to pace Johnson City (9-3).

Harpursville 3, UV 0

Erin Avery had nine assists, seven aces and five kills to lead undefeated Harpursville to a 25-9, 25-4, 25-7 rout of visiting Unadilla Valley in the Midstate Athletic Conference.

Madison Paugh, Courtney Hardy and Melissa McLaughlin contributed six aces apiece for the Hornets (13-0), who visit Bainbridge-Guilford on Tuesday.

Haley Benson’s three kills paced the Storm, who are at Delhi on Tuesday.

Oxford 3, Delhi 1

Kera Shepler finished with 10 aces and five kills to lead visiting Oxford to a 25-8, 24-26, 25-15, 25-18 win in the MAC.

Taylor Chapman contributed 18 digs and five kills for the Blackhawks (9-4), who are at Sidney on Tuesday.
