Chancellor’s Award

SUNY Cobleskill senior Marten Peterson (track and field), junior Amanda Bucci (equestrian) and freshman Jacqueline Boyce (track and field) earned SUNY Chancellor’s Student-Athlete Awards for the 2012-13 academic year, the Fighting Tigers announced Wednesday.

The awards recognize academic excellence and outstanding athletic achievement at the Division I, III and NJCAA levels.

A total of 65 student-athletes from across the SUNY system were honored. Cobleskill’s award-winners are part of SUNY’s Independent Campuses NCAA Division III category.

Winners were nominated by their respective athletic directors. Their academic credentials and athletic accomplishments were then reviewed by a panel of athletic directors from across the SUNY system and members of the chancellor’s office.
