Sydney Smith hit an RBI single and Brianna Dunham had an RBI groundout during a two-run sixth inning that lifted host Edmeston to a non-league victory.
With the score tied at 8, Sarah Lawrence started Edmeston’s sixth with a single. She then stole second and scored on Smith’s single. Later in the inning, Dunham groundout made it 10-8.
Dana Eschler went 3-for-4 with an RBI, and Katlin Talbot and Lawrence had two hits apiece. Talbot finished with two RBIs and Lawrence had one RBI.
Edmeston (11-1, 9-1) will travel to Unadilla Valley today.
Milford 16, CV-S 4
Natasha Skillen had three hits and three RBIs, and Addy Lawson had three hits and one RBI to lead unbeaten Milford to a home victory in the Tri-Valley League.
Amanda Fish and Kaley contributed two hits apiece for Milford (9-0, 9-0), which will play Hunter-Tannersville at 11 a.m. Saturday in a first-round game of the Milford Booster Club Tournament. Laurens and Roxbury are also in the tournament.
Kylie Graham had three hits for Cherry Valley-Springfield.
G-MU 6, Morris 3
Kelsey Ross went 3-for-4 with two runs and an RBI to lead host Gilbertsville-Mount Upton to a Tri-Valley League win.
Whitney Gilbert also went 3-for-4 and scored for the Raiders, who received six strikeouts and two walks in a five-hitter from Marissa Mehlrose.
Alexis Joy went 2-for-3 with two runs for Morris, which received two hits and a run from Kaylyn Oliver.
Sidney 5, Harpursville 2
Nicole Smith had a double and a triple as part of a 4-for-4 game as visiting Sidney won in the Midstate Athletic Conference.
The Warriors entered the top of the seventh inning with the score tied at 2. Karissa Lambrecht followed a Joleen Krom leadoff double with an RBI double to five Sidney a 3-2 lead.
