Franklin rallies for walkoff baseball victory

Laurens 9, G-MU 3

David Fraser finished 4-for-5 with two RBIs and Mitchel Barra went 3-for-5 with a double and an RBI as Laurens won a road game in the Tri-Valley League.

Rian West went 2-for-3 with an RBI for the Raiders, who received a double from Jason Barrows.

G-MU (4-8, 4-6) hosts Hancock on Saturday.

Windham 10, SK 7

Rober Carl had two hits and Zack Meyer contributed a double for Windham in a Delaware League victory on the road.

Anthony Savasta tripled for the Warriors, who scored in every inning but the fourth.

Griff Metzko, Dylan Cole and Ryan Sluiter each had two hits for the Rams (2-9, 2-5), who travel to Davenport on Tuesday.

Davenport 5, Gilboa 1

Winning pitcher Josh Davi struck out nine and batterymate Cody Wamsley had two hits, including a double, in Davenport’s Delaware League win on the road.

Paul Clark contributed two hits for the Wildcats, who took a 5-0 lead into the fifth inning.

Cole Fancher struck out 10 in five innings for Gilboa, which received a 3-for-4 effort from Mike Smith.

Gilboa (4-5) hosts Jefferson today.

UV 16, Edmeston 2

Nate Shackelton and Kurt Haycook had three hits apiece for Unadilla Valley, which cruised to a non-league win at home.

Shackelton and Haycook each had two singles and a double. Shackelton drove in four runs and Haycook had two RBIs.

Brandon Kuhn scored four runs on two hits for the Storm, who play at Delhi today.

Edmeston’s catcher Nate Truax was 2-for-3 with an RBI.

Greene 12, Delhi 9

Catcher Brian Hannigan had three hits in Delhi’s MAC loss on the road.

Despite yielding 12 runs and 13 walks, Delhi (2-9, 1-9) brought the potential tying run to the plate in the top of the seventh. Ben Denison led off the inning with a triple and was driven in by Brandon Mole for the first of three runs in the inning.
