Rat Snake registration open

Registration is open for the 2013 Rat Snake, a triathlon held in honor of the late Dr. Ken Stalter.

The event, which is scheduled for Saturday, will feature professional timing. The triathlon/team triathlon will begin at 7 a.m., followed by the trail run at 10 a.m. and the 3-kilometer jog/stroll at noon.

The triathlon and trail run will be limited to 100 participants. The team triathlon will be limited to 10 teams.

Riverside 5K set for Sunday

The 10th annual Riverside Elementary 5K is scheduled for Sunday.

Registration forms are available online at www.oneontacsd.org and at the Riverside Elementary lobby.

Carolee’s 5K Run/Walk is Sunday

The fifth annual Carolee’s Run/Walk is scheduled for 10 a.m. May 19 in Gilbertsville.

The 5-kilometer road race is held in memory of Carolee Dunham, a Gilbertsville-Mount Upton athlete who lost her life in a Nov. 2007 car accident.

Registration costs $20 and begins at 9 a.m. at Centennial Park. A Chinese auction, refreshments, entertainment and prizes will follow the race at Centennial Park. All proceeds will benefit a scholarship given to a graduating G-MU athlete in Dunham’s name.

Trapshoot event Sunday

The Bainbridge Sportsmen’s Club will host a trapshoot at 9 a.m. Sunday.

SUNY Delhi sets pool schedule

SUNY Delhi’s pool schedule through Sunday is as follows:

Monday-Friday: Lap Swim 7-8 a.m., 11 a.m.-1 p.m, 5:30-7 p.m.; Open Swim 7-9 p.m.

Saturday-Sunday: Open Swim 1-5 p.m.

Wick offering swim lessons

Hartwick College will offer swimming lessons at Moyer Pool through Sunday.

Lessons will be available during afternoon and evening hours Monday-Thursday and Sunday. Cost is $15 for each 30-minute lesson.
