Bobcats rally in 9th for MAC triumph

Sidney 10, Afton 0

Zak Green and Nate McDonald combined to strike out 10 in Sidney’s Midstate Athletic Conference rout.

The game was scheduled as a home game for Sidney (5-1, 3-1), but the teams played in Afton because of poor field conditions.

Green struck out six Crimson Knights and walked one in five innings before being relieved by McDonald, who pitched the sixth and seventh.

Trey Crawford started the scoring for the Warriors with an RBI single to right-center field that drove in Billy Kozak and Brandon Bessett as part of a four-run first inning.

Damian Zimmer had three hits and Noah McKee drove in three runs on two hits for the Warriors, who will host Delhi Friday.
