Milford girls clinch T-V East title

Downsville 67, Jefferson 37

Kaileen Townsend scored 10 of her game-high 24 points in the first quarter to lead visiting Downsville to a Delaware League win.

Leigha LaTourette scored nine of her 20 points in the opening quarter, which ended with the Eagles ahead, 29-5.

Emily Wenner’s 10 points paced Jefferson, which finished the season with a 4-12 record.

Afton 59, G-MU 30

Payton Cutting scored 11 of her 13 points in the first quarter to lead host Afton to a non-league win.

The Crimson Knights (8-9) held a 23-10 lead after one quarter.

Cutting also grabbed 12 rebounds for Afton, which received 17 points from Ashley Rogalski and 16 from Shakari Coss.

Mackenzie Talbot scored a team-best 11 points to pace Gilbertsville-Mount Upton.

Afton hosts Delhi at 6 p.m. today in the consolation game of the Midstate Athletic Conference 5-8 Tournament.
