Second-half run lifts Delhi men


Vanessa Brown contributed second-place finishes in the 100 and 200 breaststroke races. She finished the 100 in 1:22.70 and the 200 in 2:59.63.

Salle, Martell, Ferrara and Sean O’Connell will compete on the men’s side in the NJCAA Division III meet that starts March 5 at Indian River State College in south Florida. Jacqueline Graziano, Vanessa Brown, McEnaney and Knudson will represent the Broncos’ women at nationals.

NEAC Championships

SUNY Cobleskill’s men and women placed second in the North Eastern Athletic Conference Championships last weekend at Cazenovia.

The Fighting Tigers men finished with 478 points — 50 behind winner Gallaudet.

Nolan Graziano led the way for Cobleskill with victories in the 200-yard individual medley (2:09.64), the 100 breaststroke (1:05.31) and the 200 breaststroke (2:23.66). Graziano also swam legs on Cobleskill’s winning 200 medley and 800 free relay teams.

Brian Alt won the 100 backstroke (58.32), Connor Worden touched first in the 500 free (5:28.35) and Tyler Valenti won the 1-meter diving competition (420.45).

Cobleskill’s women finished with 417 points — 27 behind winner Wells College.

Sophomore Rachael Degnan led Cobleskill with wins in the 200 butterfly (2:24.42), the 500 free (5:41.80) and the 1,650 free (19:52.95).

Cobleskill also received wins from freshmen Hannah Kincaid (400 IM, 5:27.59) Merrin Gural (1-meter diving, 346.70).


Oneonta State rode three major decisions and two forfeits to a road victory in its regular-season finale Saturday.

Dominic DeGraba (125 pounds), Ben Mikac (141) and Dan Graff (174) won head-to-head matches for the Red Dragons (10-9), who received forfeit triumphs from Sean Hansen (133) and Chad Obzud (197). O-State secured the victory with Obzud’s forfeit, which gave the Red Dragons a 24-15 lead with one match to go.
