O-State women knock off Bengals

Hartwick followed with a 10-3 rout of Marist in the afternoon match. Capparelli scored three times for the Hawks (4-5), who got two goals apiece from Jemma Dendy Young and Ermakova.

Tonkin, Tait and Boyle also scored for Hartwick, which lost its first two matches Saturday.

Ermakova scored twice in a 13-4 loss to 10th-ranked Arizona State on Saturday. Capparelli and Jemma Dendy Young also scored.

Capparelli had three goals in a 15-7 loss to the host Aztecs. Lara Dendy Young, Jemma Dendy Young, Tait and Ermakova also had goals for Hartwick, which was outscored, 10-3, in the second half.

The Hawks will play George Washington University at 10:30 a.m. this Saturday, followed by a 4:45 p.m. match against the host school during the Bucknell Tournament.

WRESTLINGO-State goes 1-2

Senior Dan Graff became the sixth wrestler in Oneonta State history to win 100 matches Saturday, when his 3-1 sudden-victory decision over Martin Strenk at 174 pounds sparked a comeback for a 21-19 defeat of Williams College.

Anthony Marino then pinned Chris Chorzepa in 14 seconds at 184 to bring Oneonta to 19-15 with two bouts left. Chad Obzud followed with a 5-2 decision at 197 before Stephen Provenzano capped the rally with a 4-1 decision at 285.

The Red Dragons (9-9) then fell to Wesleyan University, 20-15, and Ithaca College, 42-3.

O-State closes its regular season with a dual meet at Rochester Institute of Technology this Saturday.
