Davenport alumni game Saturday

The Charlotte Valley National Honor Society will host its second annual Basketball Alumni Game at 3 p.m. Saturday.

Roster spots are still available for Davenport alumni. Participants should include full names and the year of graduation.

OTC to host winter events

The Oneonta Tennis Club will host the following events in 2014.

Junior clinics (Sunday): Ten-week session divided in groups according to skill and age and will be led by local college team members. Students are available to teach private and group lessons during the week as well.

Doubles qualifiers (Jan. 25): Top eight in each division (men’s & women’s) will compete in the tournament, three sets with three different partners. Top four in each division will then team up for semifinals and finals. No fee for those in all-inclusive membership category. For others, cost is $20 for the qualifiers and $40 for the tournament.

O-State tennis fundraiser (Feb. 8-9): Fundraiser tournament for Oneonta State’s varsity tennis teams.

Lacrosse sessions ends Monday

LacrosseOneonta’s winter session at the Oneonta Boys and Girls Club will end this Monday.

Boys and girls in grades 3-7 will play between 6-7 p.m., followed by grades 8-12 from 7-9 p.m.

Cost is free, but participants must be members of the OBGC.

YMCA basketball leagues start soon

The Oneonta Family YMCA is accepting sign-ups for its 30-55 and 50-and-over basketball leagues.

The 30-55 league will play Tuesday evenings and the 50-and-over league will compete Wednesday evenings starting the week of Jan. 14.

Instructional meetings for the leagues will start at 6 p.m. Jan. 7 (50-and-over) and at 7 p.m. Jan. 7 (30-55) at the YMCA.

Cost to participate is $85 for members and $135 for non-members. For more information, call the YMCA at 607-432-0010.
