HOF Classic tickets on sale

Tickets for the sixth Baseball Hall of Fame Classic are on sale.

Six National Baseball Hall of Famers and more than two dozen former major leaguers will take part in the seven-inning exhibition game, which is slated for May 24 at Doubleday Field in Cooperstown.

The day will open with the Cooperstown Main Street Game Day Parade at noon, followed by a pre-game hitting contest at 1 p.m. First pitch is slated for 2:05 p.m.

Hall of Famers Phil Niekro and Ozzie Smith return as team captains and managers. They will be joined by Hall of Famers Roberto Alomar and Rollie Fingers, along with two Hall of Famers to be announced. Rosters will be announced in April.

Tickets are available via phone at 1-877-726-9028 or online at www.baseballhall.org. Tickets cost $12.50 for first- and third-base seats and $11 for general admission outfield seats.

The Hall’s Night at the Museum program will follow at 7 p.m. as Hall of Famers and former players will greet fans throughout the museum.

The Hall also will host a golf outing featuring Hall of Fame members at the Leatherstocking Golf Course in Cooperstown. A limited number of spots available for golfers. For more information, call 607-547-0310.

Hall of Fame Classic Weekend also includes the Legends for Youth Skills Clinic from 4-7 p.m. May 23 and an exclusive photo opportunity with Hall of Fame members at 9:30 a.m. May 24. Pre-orders are required for both opportunities by calling 607-547-0397.

Bowling tourney starts Saturday

The Milford Fire & Squad Department will host its fourth annual bowling tournament starting Saturday at The Strike Zone in Milford.

The no-tap tournament features five-person teams and is open to the public. Cost is $100 per team, or $20 per person.

Tournament dates are this Saturday and Sunday, March 15-16, March 22-23 and March 29-30. RSVPs are due by this Saturday.
