The elementary school division runs from 6-7 p.m. and focuses on fundamentals and technique. The middle/high school division runs from 7-8 p.m. and focuses on fundamentals, technique, drills, match strategy and training.

O-State wrestling coach Duane Ritter will run the series, which will feature assistants Rocco Caponi, Bill Cooper, Mike Hamilton and Nate Leonard. O-State wrestlers and PHED 207 coaching certification students will serve as volunteer coaches and guest clinicians as well.

Bowling tourney starts April 26

Cobleskill Family Bowling will host a super sweeper tournament April 26-27.

Qualifying rounds will be held at 1 and 4 p.m. April 26. The top five qualifiers will return April 27 to compete in a stepladder final.

First place is guaranteed $2,000 for this scratch, singles tournament.

Entry forms are available at local bowling centers and online at www.bestwesterncobleskill.com/bowling.

SADD run set for April 27

The 16th annual SADD Strides For Safety 5K Run/Walk and Health Fair will be held April 27 at Oneonta High.

Registration and the health fair begins at 11:30 a.m. The race starts at 1 p.m.

Fee is $15 before April 27 and $20 on race day. Those registering by April 1 will be guaranteed an event T-shirt. Registration forms are available at schools in Oneonta, Franklin and Unatego, or by going online at www.oneontacsd.org/news.cfm.

Youth conditioning program set

The Oneonta Family YMCA will host a sports conditioning program for youths ages 11-14 on Tuesdays and Thursdays through May 1.

Registration is required for the program, which runs from 3:30-5 p.m. at the Center Street School gymnasium. The program will not run during breaks for Oneonta High or Oneonta State.
