OHS falls to M-E in lacrosse opener


Jeremy Leary, Sam Sherrill and Luke Anderson scored for Oneonta High, which opened its season with a 14-3 Section Four Lacrosse League loss at Maine-Endwell on Tuesday.

The Spartans led, 11-1, at halftime.

Brock Post had four goals and three assists to lead the Spartans.

“I think overall we played a pretty game against these guys,” Oneonta coach Jeff Armer wrote in an email. “They are well coached and always a strong program, but I think we were able to come out and do some positive things against them.”

Sam Sherrill made 17 saves for the Yellowjackets.
