Hawks rout Siena in water polo

WOMEN’S TENNISO-State goes 1-3

The Red Dragons won one of four matches during their spring break trip to Hilton Head, S.C.

It began last Tuesday with a 5-4 loss to Virginia Wesleyan.

Sophomore Brynn Sussman and freshman Michelle Spencer won at first and fourth singles, respectively, for the Red Dragons.

Their next match ended in an 8-1 loss to the University of Chicago. Sussman’s win at second singles marked O-State’s lone victory.

In an 8-1 victory over Concordia University (Wisc.), seniors Danielle Browarski and Sussman won at first and second singles, respectively, and teamed for a win at first doubles. Also, Emily Maggiore and Collette Lankowicz earned respective wins at third and fourth singles, and teamed to win at second doubles.

O-State ended its trip with a 7-2 loss to St. Olaf. The Red Dragons’ wins came from Sussman at second singles, and Maggiore and Lankowicz at second doubles.

O-State will travel to Wheaton College on Friday.

GOLFMcDaniel Invitational

James Partridge shot rounds of 78 and 80 on Saturday and Sunday to lead SUNY Delhi to a sixth-place finish in the 13-team McDaniel Spring Invitational at Bridges Golf Club in Abbottstown, Pa.

Partridge finished tied for 20th. Christopher Braim finished one stroke behind Partridge with rounds of 79 and 80 for the Broncos, whose low round of the tournament came from Greg Starvou. He shot a 76 in the first round and followed with an 84 Sunday.
