Golf tournament set for Saturday

Colonial Ridge Golf in Laurens will host the Clair Jacobsen Memorial Captain and Crew Golf Tournament at 10 a.m. Saturday.

The tournament, which will begin with a shotgun start, features four-person teams. Cost is $30 per player and includes prize money (gross only), skins and pins. The event will have a 100-percent cash payout, with $1,000 for first place (based on 32 teams).

Bowling leagues have openings

The Cobleskill Bowling Center has openings for its fall leagues.

The center is accepting bowlers for its men’s, women’s, mixed, seniors and juniors leagues.

Basketball officials to meet Sept. 23

The Oneonta Board of Women’s Basketball Officials and Board 46 IAABO Men’s Officials are looking for new members this year.

People who are interested in working modified, junior varsity and varsity basketball games in this area are encouraged to attend the first meetings Sept. 23.

The men’s officials meeting is set for 6:30 p.m. at Oneonta State’s Morris Hall. It will be followed by the women’s officials meeting at 7:30 p.m. Classes for new officials will start in October.
