Youth Day, shoot set for Saturday
The Gilbertsville Rod and Gun Club’s annual Youth Day is set for Sayurday.
Youths ages 5-18 may participate but must be accompanied by an adult.
Registration starts at 9 a.m. and will be followed by a gun safety review. Those who register by 10 a.m. will be eligible for a prize.
Youths will have the opportunities to shoot on a rifle range, shoot on an archery range and trap shoot. Youths may participate at no cost and also will receive a free meal (hamburgers or hot dogs).
Youth Day ends at noon and will be followed by an open trap shoot. A chicken barbeque will be served at 1 p.m. at a cost of $5 per half or $8 per meal. The open trap shoot and chicken barbeque are open to the public.

Venison banquet set for Saturday
The annual CANY Venison Donation Program banquet is set for Saturday at The Holiday Inn of Oneonta. Doors open at 5 p.m. Dinner will be served around 6:15 p.m.
Over the past 12 years, CANY has served close to 300,000 meals to the food banks in Otsego and Delaware counties.

Delhi swim lessons start Saturday
SUNY Delhi will open swimming lessons this Saturday.

FAM 5K to run Saturday
The 20th annual FAM 5K “Fund” Run/Walk will start at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Cobleskill Fairgrounds.
The FAM 5K, which supports Catholic Charities of Schoharie County, awards FAM Funds mutual fund shares to the male and female winners in several age categories. A kids’ run also will be held.
