Hamilton 1, Cooperstown 0
Dakota Thomas scored from close range with 8:03 left in the first half to lift visiting Hamilton to a Center State Conference victory.
Brian Meeks assisted Thomas’ goal as Hamilton (6-1) improved to 5-0 in conference.
“We didn’t clear it,” Cooperstown coach Frank Miosek said. “We had two guys there and they had two guys. It bounced to them and they pushed it in from 5 yards.”
Miosek said his squad had a few chances in the second half to get the equalizer.
“It’s probably the best Cooperstown has played all year long against the best team we’ve played all season,” Miosek said.
Cooperstown (3-3, 3-2) will host Little Falls on Friday.
SK 1, Downsville 0
Ty Magnan scored the lone goal with nine minutes left in the first half to lead visiting South Kortright to a Delaware League victory.
Magnan received a pass from Ryan Sluiter and scored inside far post from 12 yards.
David Doig made six saves for Downsville (4-3, 2-1), which will play the host school in the first round of the Greene Tournament at 7 p.m. Friday.
B-G 2, Walton 1
The second of Cassidy Graham’s two goals came on a penalty kick and broke a 1-all tie as host Bainbridge-Guilford won in the Midstate Athletic Conference.
Graham’s penalty kick came after Abby Smith was fouled in the penalty box. Graham scored cleanly into the left side with 30:01 left.
Graham gave the Bobcats a 1-0 lead with 26:25 left in the first half off an assist from Marissa Thornton.
Walton tied the score on Katie Maguire’s goal with 12:08 left in the first half. Kim Huntress assisted Maguire.
The Bobcats (3-6, 2-3) will travel to Sidney on Friday.
Unatego 2, UV 0
Aryn VanAlstyne and Tanner Reed scored goals in the first overtime lead visiting Unatego to a Midstate Athletic Conference victory.
VanAlstyne gave the Spartans a 1-0 lead 2:44 into the first overtime. Reed scored about 3 ½ minutes later.
