Yellowjackets run past Ithaca for first victory, 33-28


Kaylyn Oliver made one save in the shutout for the Mustangs (10-2-1, 8-2-1), who held a 20-1 advantage in shots.

Petra Peretin, Rebecca Smith and Amber Delaura scored for Richfield Springs, which earned a non-league tie on the road.



Logan Mancuso placed fourth overall in 17:22 to lead Oneonta’s boys to a fourth-place finish at the Conwicke-Stock Invitational.

Sam Baskin finished seventh in 17:33 for OHS, which also had a 17th from Jacob DePauw (18:08). Ryan Layman (28th, 18:41), Matt Longo (31st, 18:43), Luke Anderson (32nd, 18:56) and Alex Kahl (58th, 27:57) also competed.

Melissa Emilio paced Oneonta’s girls by finishing eighth in 22:22. The Yellowjackets placed fifth with the help of Jamie Keown (13th, 23:44), Eliana Fox (21st, 24:22), Rory Decker (31st, 33:44) and Viktoria Guzak (32nd, 39:24).

Oneonta hosts Chenango Forks at Fortin Park on Tuesday.


Greene 3, Afton 0

Christianne Philippone finished with six kills and three blocks to lead visiting Greene to a 25-20, 25-18, 25-15 MAC sweep.

Emily Parrish contributed seven assists for the Trojans (4-10), who host Harpursville on Tuesday.

Alisha Hubbard’s six digs, five aces and four assists paced the Crimson Knights (2-10), who visit Unadilla Valley on Tuesday.

Oxford 3, Delhi 0

Taylor Chapman’s six aces and seven digs helped Oxford (2-10) to a MAC win on the road, 25-13, 25-15, 25-11.

Gigi Cappiello had six digs for the Bulldogs (1-11), who visit Deposit on Tuesday.
