From 5:30-7 p.m. Wednesday, O-State will host a faculty appreciation dinner at Le Cafe.
Thursday’s schedule includes a Chi Alpha Sigma luncheon from noon-1 p.m. at the Otsego Grille. Sixteen student-athletes will be inducted into the National College Athlete Honor Society.
O-State will end the week with two volunteer activities. The first will run from 4-7 p.m. Friday at The Lord’s Table and the second will go from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday as Red Dragons will participate in CANstruction at the Southside Mall.
Cat Classic 5K is June 14
The second annual Cat Classic 5K Run & Walk, sponsored by the Milford Booster Club, is set for June 14 at Milford Central.
The race starts at 10:30 a.m. rain or shine in front of the school driveway and ends on the track finish line.
Pre-registration by June 12 is $15 per person or $45 per family. Registration on race day is $20 per person.
Strollers are allowed. The top male and female finishers will win awards. Medals will be given to the top three finishers in all age-groups.

Pitch, Hit & Run is Tuesday
SUNY Cobleskill will host a local qualifier for the Scotts/Major League Baseball Pitch, Hit and Run on Tuesday.
The youth skills competition will be held on the college’s baseball diamond and softball fields. Registration starts at 5 p.m. Tuesday, with the competition to follow at 5:30 p.m.
Boys and girls ages 7-14 as of July 17, 2014, are eligible to compete. Birth certificates are required. Age-groups will be 7-8, 9-10, 11-12 and 13-14. Winners in each category and all-around champions will qualify for sectional competition at a time, date and site to be determined.
Sectional winners will advance to team championships, with the national finals to follow. National finalists will receive an all-expenses paid trip to the 2014 All-Star Game and will compete before the Home Run Derby.
