Kids play for free at OCC

The Oneonta Country Club will offer free golf to children of members this season.

Introductory individual memberships cost $795 per year. Spouses may be included at a total family cost of $1,295.

The OCC also will offer a summer membership at the Oneonta Tennis Club featuring indoor and outdoor tennis as well as outdoor pool privileges from May 1 to Labor Day. For more information, call the OCC at 607-432-8950 or visit the website oneontacountryclub.org.

Junior golf program starts soon

Catskill Mountains Junior Golf is accepting applications for 2014.

The program, which includes clinics, a parent-junior tournament and a banquet, will be offered at Ouleout Creek Golf Course in North Franklin and at Shephard Hills Golf Course in Roxbury.

Youths ages 5-17 may participate.

SADD run set for April 27

The 16th annual SADD Strides For Safety 5K Run/Walk and Health Fair will be held April 27 at Oneonta High.

Registration and the health fair begins at 11:30 a.m. The race starts at 1 p.m.

Fee is $15 before April 27 and $20 on race day. Those registering by April 1 will be guaranteed an event T-shirt. Registration forms are available at schools in Oneonta, Franklin and Unatego, or by going online at www.oneontacsd.org/news.cfm.
