Hartwick water polo routs Gannon at home, 22-8


Delhi jumped to a 7-1 halftime lead and finished with a 31-21 advantage in shots. Goalie Robert Rohan made 19 saves for the Broncos, who host Jefferson CC at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Hartwick College.

WOMEN’S LACROSSEO-State 20, Buffalo State 10

Kiera McNally (two assists) and Catherine Clark scored five goals apiece Saturday to lead Oneonta State to a SUNYAC victory at home.

Nicole Boylan contributed four goals for O-State (7-4, 2-1), which received three from Nikki Fioretti and one apiece from Michelle Genovese, Jillian Donodeo and Chelsea Collins (four assists).

Starting goalie Amanda Reichardt made four saves and back-up Laura Grose had six for the Red Dragons, who closed the first half on a 4-0 run for a 12-5 lead at the break.

Meghan Farrell had three goals for the Bengals (7-3, 2-1), who gave up the last four goals.

O-State visits Potsdam for a SUNYAC game at 4 p.m. Tuesday.

Nazareth 10, Hartwick 5

Ali Sisco’s three goals paced Hartwick in an E8 road loss Saturday.

Sisco gave the Hawks (4-8, 0-4) a 4-3 lead with 7:31 left in the opening half, but Nazareth (4-6, 1-1) scored twice before halftime to take the lead for good.

Steph Luce made 15 saves in goal for the Hawks, who host Houghton at 3 p.m. this Saturday.

Brooke Sullivan scored three times to pace the Golden Flyers, who took control by scoring the first three goals of the second half.

MEN’S TENNISAlfred 8, Hartwick 1

Hartwick sophomore Jefferson Monastoque earned his first collegiate victory Sunday with a 6-3, 2-6, 14-12 triumph at fifth singles, but the Hawks lost an E8 match to visiting Alfred University (9-6, 1-1).

Monastoque fought off seven match points in the deciding set against Alfred’s Eric Teller en route to earning the only point for Hartwick (0-6, 0-3).

Will Gilbraith and Ross Braue won seven games apiece in their respective singles losses for the Hawks, who visit Oneonta State for a non-conference match at 4 p.m. Wednesday.
