Indians hold SK hitless in DL baseball


Tefft struck out four and walked four before Sarah Mellor took over in the sixth inning.

Ali Turner started the scoring for the Dragons (2-2) with an RBI single in the first. Mellor doubled, tripled and drove in one run in a 2-for-2 effort.

Jessica Carson had two hits and two RBIs for the Patriots, who got a hit and an RBI from Jordan Zaccagnino.

Schenevus hosts Milford on Wednesday.

TENNISMargaretville 6, Roxbury 1

James Warner, Brandon Belaski, Yair Sanchez and Michael Conroy earned singles victories for Margaretville in its Delaware League victory.

At first singles, Roxbury’s Josh Riley downed Dylan Shaffer, 9-7.

Stamford 6, Andes 1

Julia Adams’ 9-7 victory over Noah Dougherty at first singles helped the host Indians to a Delaware League triumph.


Lousy weather led to the postponements of about half of the high school events scheduled for Monday.

The following is a list of games that were not played Monday, with rescheduled dates, if any, in parenthesis.

Baseball: Chenango Forks at Oneonta High (Thursday); Harpursville at Delhi (Thursday); Davenport at Roxbury (April 21); Oxford at Walton (April 21 at Oxford); Unatego at Deposit (April 21); Unadilla Valley vs. Sidney (April 26 at 11 a.m. at Damaschke Field); Windham at Hunter-Tannersville; Afton at Greene; Gilbertsville-Mount Upton at Morris; Richfield Springs at Worcester; Bainbridge-Guilford at Hancock.

Softball: Afton at Greene (Thursday); Oxford at Walton (April 21 at Oxford); Unatego at Deposit (April 21); Chenango Forks at Oneonta; Roxbury at Davenport; G-MU at Morris; Richfield Springs at Worcester; B-G at Hancock.

Tennis: Davenport at Windham; Poland at Cooperstown; Hancock at B-G.

Additionally, Oneonta’s baseball team will make up its game at Windsor scheduled for this past Friday at noon this Saturday.
