Hartwick women's water polo wins 20th match of season


Cortland (10-3, 4-0) held a 7-0 lead after one period en route to an 11-2 advantage at halftime.

Robert Neubert and Anthony Laureano each had a goal and an assist for Oneonta, which also received goals from Mike Metzger and Kevin Theofield.

O-State visits Potsdam this Saturday.

Keuka 22, Cobleskill 6

Chris Magee scored twice in Cobleskill’s North Eastern Athletic Conference home loss Saturday.

Max Sprauer, Austin Fragale, David Meyers and Troy Rossi also scored for the Fighting Tigers (1-9, 1-3), who visit SUNYIT on Wednesday.

Connor Latimer and Mike Donals scored six goals apiece to pace Keuka (8-0, 4-0), which held a 16-3 lead at halftime.

WOMEN’S LACROSSEFredonia 13, O-State 8

Kiera McNally scored three times Saturday, but 20th-ranked Oneonta State lost a SUNYAC game on the road.

Casey Sarle gave the Red Dragons (8-5, 3-2) a 1-0 lead on a free-position shot. The Blue Devils (9-3, 3-1) then scored five of the next six goals.

Katie Glagolev finished with five goals and Marissa Cussins had four for Fredonia, which held a 5-3 lead at halftime.

Michelle Genovese, Nicole Boylan, Jillian Donodeo and Catherine Clark also scored for Oneonta, which visits New Paltz on Tuesday.

Hartwick 17, Houghton 6

Lauren Rosenberg matched her season-high of five goals to lead Hartwick to a non-conference victory at home Saturday.

Meg Luce finished with three goals and an assist for the Hawks, who got three goals from Meagan Wright. Emily Jweid contributed two goals and two assists, and Kia Ference had a goal and a game-best three assists.

SJF 19, Hartwick 6

Ali Sisco and Lisa Littleton scored two goals apiece Sunday, but Hartwick lost an Empire 8 game at home to 19th-ranked St. John Fisher.

The Cardinals (9-3, 4-1) scored the first six goals en route to a 13-3 halftime lead. Taylor Hughes had four goals for SJF, which received three apiece from Samantha Barton, Erin Ward and Bridget Alberts.
