Reliever Brandon Agar gave up two straight hits in the bottom of the 10th inning Thursday as the Oneonta Outlaws fell, 3-2, to the host Rochester Ridgemen in the New York Collegiate Baseball League.

Agar got four straight outs after taking over for Reid Van Woert, who exited with two out in the eighth inning after two walks left the Ridgemen with runners at first and second. Agar got out of the jam when Matthew Simmons grounded to second baseman Mitch Hollander, who threw to shortstop Derek Hirsch for a forceout at second.

Rochester took a 2-1 lead into the ninth, but Oneonta rallied to tie it against starting pitcher Dwayne Snider. After hitting Hirsch with one out, Snider gave up a single to Brian Kraft that put runners at the corners. Heath Holder followed with a sacrifice fly to tie the score at 2.

Agar put Rochester down in order in the ninth to force an extra inning, inducing two infield groundouts and striking out a batter.

Ridgemen reliever Carl Buddin hit Howard Joe to start the 10th but got the next three outs to keep the score deadlocked at 2.

Agar then gave up a leadoff triple to Taylor Empkey in the last of the 10th. Joshua Davis followed with a walkoff single for last-place Rochester, which improved to 3-9 this season.

Hirsch finished 2-for-3 with two runs for Oneonta, which also received two hits from designated hitter Josh Treff. Oneonta High senior Chris Pindar and OHS graduate Sean Getman did not play for the Outlaws (6-6), who fell into seventh place in the 11-team NYCBL.

Oneonta hosts the Syracuse Junior Chiefs at 7 tonight at Damaschke Field.
