Sidney boys down B-G, 61-45


Griff Metzko contributed 10 points and Salcido had 9, including 7-for-7 from the free throw line for the Rams, who went 16-for-18 from the free throw line.

“This was a really well played game. You know going into a game with Davenport that coach Fisher is going to have them ready to play,” SK coach Bob VanValkenburgh said. “I am not sure I have had a team shoot that well from the free-throw line ever.”

Matt Finne had 10 points and Kyle Moorby contributed nine for the Wildcats.

SK (10-3) improved to 7-3 in league play.

Margaretville 66, Jefferson 29

Margaretville opened a 24-point lead in the first half and cruised to a home victory in the Delaware League.

Mitch Hull had a game-high 20 points and pulled down 10 rebounds for the Blue Devils, who received 10 points and 10 assists from Kyle Short.

James Reeves led Jefferson with 12 points.

Margaretville (12-1, 8-1) will play at Hunter-Tannersville on Tuesday.

Milford 47, CV-S 29

Peyton Griffiths scored a game-high 17 points as visiting Milford won in the Tri-Valley League. Will Ward contributed 12 points on four three-pointers.

Kyle Jaquay scored nine points for Cherry Valley-Springfield (8-5, 5-4), which will host Richfield Springs on Friday.

Downsville 43, Windham 41

David Saunders had 20 points and 10 rebounds for his second consecutive double-double, but host Windham lost in the Delaware League.

Justin Baxter scored 15 points and Billy Smith had 14 for the Eagles, who gave up a three-pointer to Saunders as time expired.

Morris 62, Edmeston 41

Mike DeLuca and Cody Myers scored 14 points apiece to lead visiting Morris to a Tri-Valley League win.

Levi Decker contributed 11 points for the Mustangs, who outscored Edmeston, 39-16, in the second half.

Logan Vibbard’s 16 points paced Edmeston (4-9, 3-6), which is at Gilbertsville-Mount Upton on Monday.

RS 69, Laurens 56

Joseph Kelly had 19 points, Lucas VanRiper scored 16 and Benjamin Smith finished with 13 as Richfield Springs (10-2, 7-2) won at home in the Tri-Valley League.
