Volleyball league starts soon

The Oneonta Family YMCA is accepting registrations for its Fall Co-Ed Volleyball League.

The A League will play Tuesday evenings and the B League will compete Wednesday evenings.

Play for the 10-week league begins the week of Oct. 8.

Instructional meetings will run this Tuesday at 6 p.m. for the A League and at 7:15 p.m. for the B League.

Sign-up sheets are available at the YMCA or by calling 607-432-0010.

Clinton Regatta meeting Tuesday

The General Clinton Canoe Regatta committee will hold a kickoff meeting for the 2014 event at 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Highway 7 Bar & Grill in Bainbridge.

The meeting is open to the public and is intended to begin planning for the 2014 Regatta.

Youth conditioning classes set

The Oneonta Family YMCA will offer Youth Sports Conditioning at the Center Street School gym from 3:30-5 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays.

The program is open to area youths in grades 6 through age 18 and runs through Dec. 13.

Delhi announces pool hours

SUNY Delhi’s pool schedule for Tuesday through Dec. 15 is as follows.

Lap Swim: 7-8 a.m., 11 a.m.-1 p.m. (Monday-Friday)

Open Swim: 8-9:30 p.m. (M,W,F); 9-10 p.m. (Tue); 7-9 p.m. (F); 1-5 p.m. (Sat-Sun).

The pool will close for October break at 1 p.m. Oct. 11 and re-open Oct. 16.

There will be no open swim Nov. 23 (college swim meet).

The pool will close for the Thanksgiving break at noon Nov. 25 and re-open Dec. 2.

Delhi Pee Wees to play Oct. 6

The Delhi Pee Wee Football Association will host two games Oct. 6 at the Delhi American Legion Field near the pavilion.
