Michael Rowley and Liam Heneghan scored three goals apiece as host Cooperstown cruised to an 11-0 boys soccer victory over Mohawk on Monday.
Though both teams play in the Center State Conference, it was a non-league game.
Rowley, The Daily Star’s reigning Player of the Year, scored three minutes into play off an assist from Heneghan. Fifty seconds, Heneghan scored on a pass from Rowley.
By the end of the first half, the Redskins held a 7-0 lead.
Isaac Gomez scored twice, and Tanner Clinton, Max Clinton and Andrew von Tsurikov also scored for Cooperstown (10-1).
Initially, Cooperstown was to play a makeup game against perennial CSC power Hamilton today, but it has been moved to Oct. 15.
The Redskins’ next game is Wednesday against visiting Waterville. Then they’ll play back-to-back games against Hamilton — on the road Friday and at home Monday.
