UV boys rally for tourney win

(Continued)

Wells, a setter, finished 12 assists shy of the all-time school record of 820 set by Katie Sessions in 2007. Wells played 41 matches over her two varsity seasons — 10 fewer than Sessions played over her three seasons.

The two helped the Yellowjackets to a 14-5 record, their first Section Four championship and an appearance in the fall state tournament this past season

Ferrara said the all-state teams were selected last month. The teams are traditionally picked by a group of coaches during state-championship weekend, which ran Nov. 16-17 at the Glens Falls Civic Center.
