Franklin girls still in it; Downsville clinches division


Ruffles scored the go-ahead goal 3:16 into the second half for Edmeston (7-6-1, 6-6), which visits Morris on Monday.

CV-S 2, Worcester 0

Lauren Loucks scored twice as CV-S stayed in contention for the Tri-Valley League East title with a home win.

Milford, Schenevus and CV-S are all within one game of each another in the East standings. CV-S (10-2-2, 8-2-2) is at Schenevus on Monday. The Dragons also host Milford in a make-up game Tuesday.

Sidney 2, B-G 1

Kelsey Ruling and Jenna McDonald scored second-half goals as visiting Sidney rallied for a Midstate Athletic Conference victory.

Bainbridge-Guilford’s Katie Hotckin scored with 4:12 left in the first half, but Ruling tied it on a penalty kick 20:45 into the second half. McDonald followed with the go-ahead goal 3:45 later.

Megan Ferrara made eight saves in the season finale for Bainbridge-Guilford (2-14, 0-7).
