Mastroianni, Robinison and Dean Haussel had two hits apiece for O-State (2-7), which lost the opener, 6-0. Steve Ascher (1-2) gave up eight hits and four earned runs in four innings against the Panthers (4-5).

Oneonta will play a non-conference doubleheader at noon this Saturday at Swarthmore College.

Sophomore Quashanda Barnes met the automatic qualifying standard for the New York State College Track Conference Championships by finishing 16th in the 400-meter run in 1:01.19 as SUNY Cobleskill opened its outdoor track season Saturday at Virginia Commonwealth University.

Junior Namib Harris paced the Fighting Tigers’ men with an automatic qualifier of 42 feet, 4 inches for seventh in the triple jump. He also met the conference’s provisional qualifying mark in the 800, finishing ninth in 2:01.89.
