O-State women top rival

O-State (2-13) dropped 1-8 in the SUNYAC.

Cortland (13-3, 7-2) was led by Jesse Winter, who scored 17 points.

Next for O-State is a road game against Brockport at 8 p.m. Friday.

HONORS

Dragon recognized

Oneonta State’s Sean Bernstein was named the SUNY Athletic Conference’s track and field athlete of the week.

Bernstein won the 200-meter dash Saturday at the New York University Team Challenge. He crossed in 21.84 seconds.

Bernstein, the defending SUNYAC champion in the 60 and the 200, won a Division III national outdoor in 200 last spring. He also finished runner-up in the 100 at nationals.

O-State will compete in the Hamilton Invitational on Saturday.
