Alexis Nunez contributed 17 points and 10 assists for the Fighting Tigers (6-19, 4-11), who received 16 points, eight rebounds and four steals from Mike Marcelin.
Cobleskill also received 15 points from Tyrone Mitchell and 10 rebounds from Unatego graduate Travis Wood in its season finale.
Hartwick 65, Alfred 32
Brittney Dumas scored 14 points and Carlee Hirt had a season-best 11 as Hartwick cruised to an Empire 8 Conference road victory in its regular-season finale Saturday.
The Hawks (18-7, 10-4) held Alfred (6-19, 0-14) to 25-percent shooting from the floor and forced 21 turnovers.
Lee Arduini and Alicia Razanousky contributed eight points apiece for Hartwick, which will host the E8 Tournament as the No. 2 seed. The Hawks open with a semifinal against third-seeded Stevens at 8 p.m. Friday. Top-seeded Ithaca plays fourth-seeded St. John Fisher in the first semifinal at 6 p.m. Friday.
Hartwick will host the E8 Tournament final at 3 p.m. Saturday. The winner earns an automatic berth to the NCAA Division III Tournament.
Kady Porterfield had 19 points, 17 rebounds and six blocks Saturday, but Cobleskill closed its season with a NEAC road loss.
Samantha Davis contributed 15 points and 13 rebounds for the Fighting Tigers (9-15, 7-10), who received 14 points from Alexis Hauser and 12 points from Tracee Schiebel.
O-State to host playoff
Oneonta State will open defense of its conference title at 7 p.m. Tuesday, when the Red Dragons host fifth-seeded Plattsburgh (14-11) in the first round of the six-team SUNYAC Tournament.
Tickets cost $6 for adults and $3 for youths ages 6-12. SUNYAC students and children ages 5 and under will be admitted for free.
The fourth-seeded Red Dragons (13-12) are coming off a 55-54 overtime defeat of regular-season champion New Paltz on Friday. Tuesday’s winner will advance to a semifinal against New Paltz this Friday.
The SUNYAC Tournament title game is set for 4 p.m. Saturday. The winner earns an automatic berth to the NCAA Division III Tournament. The NCAA field will be announced at 2:30 p.m. Feb. 25.
