Jared Suderley scored 19 points and Kyle Bradley had 14 to lead Hartwick College to a 73-40 non-conference men’s basketball rout of visiting Keuka College on Friday at Lambros Arena.
Suderley made 7 of 13 shots from the floor and 4 of 4 at the foul line en route to game-high scoring honors. Bradley’s night included a 5-for-5 effort at the free throw line, where the Hawks (4-2) made 14 of 19 attempts.
Bradley also grabbed a team-best nine rebounds for Hartwick, which received five points from Laurens graduate Aaron Laing.
Conor Boyer’s 12 points and college-best 13 rebounds paced the Storm (0-5), who trailed, 35-18, at halftime.
Hartwick hosts Morrisville State at 3 p.m. Saturday.
Buffalo State 85, O-State 64
Senior Nick Sarchioto scored 18 points, but visiting Oneonta State (1-3) fell in the SUNY Athletic Conference opener for both teams.
Freshman Jackson Zuvic contributed 12 points and 11 rebounds for the Red Dragons, who trailed, 41-38, at halftime. The Bengals pulled away with a 29-10 run in the first 10 minutes of the second half.
O-State visits Fredonia at 4 p.m. Saturday.
O-State 56, Buffalo State 52
Junior Kristin Pappalardo hit four three-pointers en route to a team-best 17 points as visiting Oneonta State opened its SUNYAC schedule with a victory.
Pappalardo also had eight steals and six assists for the Red Dragons, who received 10 points, five rebounds and two blocks from sophomore Sarah Longto.
Holding a 15-14 lead in the first half, O-State went on a 13-0 run that contributed to a 28-16 advantage at halftime.
The Bengals, who gave up 23 points off of turnovers, rallied back to take a 47-45 lead with less than four minutes left. Pappalardo then hit a three-pointer, and Kelly Mulligan followed with a layup and two free throws to put the Red Dragons back in control.
Oneonta visits Fredonia at 2 p.m. Saturday.
