Taylor Spranger struck out seven in a two-hitter and stole eight bases to lead host Schenevus to a Tri-Valley League victory.

Spranger hit an RBI single during the Dragons' two-run first inning. She also stole home during Schenvus' five-run fifth inning.

Aly Turner had three its and Stephanie Pepaj contributed two for Schenvus (1-1, 1-0), which will host Cherry Valley-Springfield on Thursday.

Claire Fraser and Jess Hadlock doubled for Laurens.

Megan Golden homered and tripled during a nine-run fourth inning as host Oxford won in the Midstate Athletic Conference.

Golden and teammate Rachel Seiler had four hits apiece for the Blackhawks.

Morgan Westcott, who attended Oxford last year, had three hits to lead Unatego, which received two doubles from Bailey Jordan.

Oxford (1-0) will travel to Deposit today.
