Miles Blaney is seeded 19th in the 500 free (4:37.11) and 31st in the 200 butterfly (1:53.58).
Brad Ranson qualified in the 200 free (1:41.68). He’s seeded 44th.
Cory Perez will swim in the relays along with Kleso, Blaney and Ranson. He was a part of the 800 free relay team that swam a 6:45.57 to set championship and Hartwick records at the UNYSCSA/Empire 8 meet. The quartet is seeded 13th nationally.
Schultz, Ranson, Kleso and Blaney also are swimming in the 400 free relay, with a 12th-seeded time of 3:02.82.
Schultz and Ranson will be a part of the 200 free and 200 medley relays as well. Last weekend, the 200 free relay team hit 1:23.23 for the 17th seed. The 200 medley relay swam a school record of 1:33.42 and is seeded 23rd.
Kleso will swim in the 400 medley along with Schultz and also will take part in the 200 medley. The 400 medley team is seeded 22nd with a program-record time of 3:25.01.
Empire 8 honors
Hartwick also announced that nine of its swimmers received Empire 8 All-Conference honors.
Schultz and Kleso made the First Team for Hartwick’s men, in the 100 free and 500 free, respectively. They also earned second-team accolades in the 50 free and the 100 breaststroke, respectively.
Ranson’s second-team honors came in the 100 free and the 200 free.
Luke Grunewald and Hartwick’s representative on the E8 Sportsman of the Year Team, Chris Willcox, also made the Second Team.
The 800 free relay team of Kleso, Ranson, Blaney and Cory Perez earned first-team honors.
Woodend earned first-team honors in the 50, 100 and 200 frees for Hartwick’s women, who had second-teamers in Kaitlyn Campbell, Gwen Mathias and Lindsay Bierwert.
The 800 free relay team of Woodend, Campbell, Mathias, and Erin Holladay made the Second Team, as did the 400 free relay team of Holladay, Woodend, Campbell and Imma Rutigliano.
Kate Beidl won the E8 Sportswoman of the Year award for Hartwick.
