The Broncos lost pool-play matches to Monroe (25-17, 25-19), Finger Lakes (25-21, 25-18), Herkimer County (25-15, 25-18) and Onondaga (25-9, 25-21). They followed with a 25-16, 25-12 setback against Jefferson in the quarterfinals.
Delhi hosts Hudson Valley at 5 p.m. Wednesday, followed by a 7 p.m. match against Elmira’s JV squad.
Oneonta State’s Danielle Kennedy won the women’s title Saturday during the 10th annual Oneonta Airfield Invitational at Fortin Park.
Kennedy completed the 6-kilometer course in 22:42, which was 14 seconds ahead of Gabrielle Libohan of Nazareth, to lead the Red Dragons to the team title with 31 points.
Alyssa Drapeau finished fifth (23:14) for Oneonta, which beat Rensselaer by 12 points.
Charles Remillard placed sixth to lead O-State’s men to a second-place finish. Remillard covered the 8K course in 26:57, one second out of the fifth spot. Rensselaer took the top five spots for a perfect team score of 15.
Oneonta will compete at the Inter-Region Rumble hosted by Oberlin College this Saturday.
Gavin Jenkins earned a seventh-place finish Saturday during the Hamilton Invitational at the Hamilton Golf Course, leading Hartwick’s men to sixth out of 13 teams.
Jenkins finished the 8-kilometer course in 27:09.8, which was a little more than 27 seconds off the top time. Teammate Matt Loignon contributed a 14th in 27:32.0.
Monica Prager and Victoria Hathaway placed 13th and 15th, respectively, for Hartwick’s women, who also finished sixth out of 13 teams. Prager covered the 5K course in 19:03.3 and Hathaway crossed in 19:07.9.
The Hawks will compete at the Cross Country Only Conference Championships this Saturday.
