Tess Tracy made six saves Thursday, but Oneonta State dropped a non-conference field hockey game at the University of Scranton, 1-0.
Kathleen Keale’s 16-yard goal off a cross from Jessica Gibson came 11 minutes into the match for the Royals (12-1), who won their fourth straight game.
Jessica Pankey helped Scranton preserve the shutout with a defensive save moments later. Oneonta’s Andrea Day got past Royals goalie Krista Mundy on a breakaway, but Pankey ran in front of the open cage and deflected the shot.
Mundy finished with five saves in her third shutout for Scranton, who won despite giving the Red Dragons 19 penalty corners. O-State was outshot, 16-13.
Oneonta (10-5) visits Oswego at 4 p.m. Oct. 25 for a SUNY Athletic Conference match.
