Club’s Ox Roast is Sunday

The Gilbertsville Rod & Gun Club at 158 Gun Club Rd. will hold its annual Father’s Day Ox Roast on Sunday.

Serving starts at noon. Adults cost $12.50, children ages 6-12 cost $6, and children ages 5-and-under are free.

The event also will feature horseshoes, a beer garden (opens at noon), an all-day trap shoot and 3D bow shoot (7 a.m. start), and entertainment by the Lum Brothers Country Band.

Registration open for adult soccer

The Latte Lounge Oneonta Adult Summer Soccer League is securing teams and players.

The league will begin play in mid-June and run until early August. There will be men’s and women’s divisions for ages 17 and up.

Lacrosse league starts June 19

Lacrosse Oneonta’s summer league will run Monday and Wednesday nights from June 19-Aug. 14 at the 6th Ward Booster Club Park across from the Oneonta Boys and Girls Club.

Tentative times are 5:30 p.m. for the Instructional League and 6:30-8:30 p.m. for the Adult Competitive League.

Sign-ups are scheduled for 6-8 p.m. June 11 and 13. Proof of USLacrosse membership is required.

Fees include $25-50 for a mandatory USLacrosse Membership and $45 to join Lacrosse Oneonta. The latter includes a reversible jersey. Players may apply for or renew USLacrosse memberships at the website

The league furnishes goals, balls and the field. Participants will need a stick, a helmet, shoulder pads, arm guards, gloves and a mouthpiece.
